NATIONAL PREMIERES

Irreverent (AU)

This fish-out-of-water drama follows criminal mediator Paulo Keegan as he flees the US after a mediation goes wrong. After assuming the identity of Reverend Mackenzie “Mack” Boyd, “Mack”/Paulo finds himself trapped in Clump, Australia — a small, eccentric beach town in Far North Queensland, hundreds of miles away from civilization and phone reception. Folks from home who wish him harm are hunting for him, so if “Mack” is going to stay alive, he’ll have to keep the wool pulled over the town’s eyes and play the role of the devoted Reverend, while desperately trying to come up with an exit strategy before his past catches up to him.
