Acorn TV has announced the premiere date for Season 2 of My Life Is Murder, which features a host of guest stars alongside series star Lucy Lawless.
Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus, Ash vs Evil Dead) is returning as Alexa Crowe, a retired detective-turned-private investigator in the hit mystery series My Life Is Murder, and she’s bringing a bunch of guest stars with her.
They include Lawless’s former cast mates, such as Anna Hutchison (Spartacus, Underbelly), Graham Vincent (Spartacus, The Shannara Chronicles), Jay Ryan (Xena: Warrior Princess, Beauty and The Beast), and Bruce Hopkins (Xena: Warrior Princess, Lord of the Rings).
But wait, there are many more — including William Shatner (Star Trek, Boston Legal), Martin Henderson (Grey’s Anatomy, The Gloaming), Michelle Ang (Fear The Walking Dead, Vegas), Sara Wiseman (A Place to Call Home, One Lane Bridge), Bill Bailey (Black Books, In the Long Run), Matt Whelan (The Sounds, The Luminaries), and popular drag performers Kita Mean (RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under) and Amanduh La Hor, amongst others to be announced.
In addition to the bevy of guest stars, the new 10-episode season of My Life Is Murder builds on the warmth, intrigue, and humor established in the Melbourne, Australia-set first season and moves it to Auckland, New Zealand.
For the first time in years, Alexa finds herself back in her home country, and she can’t help but say yes when she is asked to look into a bizarre unsolved murder. Joined again by her partner in crime-solving, Madison Feliciano (Ebony Vagulans, The Heart Guy), as well as charismatic detective Harry (Rawiri Jobe, The Brokenwood Mysteries) and café owner Reuben (Joe Naufahu, Game of Thrones), Alexa quickly finds herself investigating other murder mysteries in surprising, glamorous worlds filled with intriguing characters who are hiding dangerous and deadly secrets.
Said Lucy Lawless:
“I am in love with the city of my birth and I’m thrilled to be showing her off to the world as the stunning backdrop to our stories. We are joined by some of NZ’s finest acting talent, headed by Rawiri Jobe and Joe Naufahu.”
