Starring award-winning actress Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus, Ash vs Evil Dead) as retired detective-turned-private investigator Alexa Crowe, the Acorn TV Original series My Life is Murder will soon be back on our screens with its highly-anticipated second season, filled with riveting new mysteries now set in beautiful New Zealand.

Back to her Kiwi roots for the first time in years, Alexa can’t help but say yes when she’s asked to look into a bizarre unsolved murder. Joining Alexa in her sleuthing are Madison Feliciano (Ebony Vagulans, The Heart Guy), her partner in crime-solving, as well as charismatic detective Harry (Rawiri Jobe, The Brokenwood Mysteries) and café owner Reuben (Joe Naufahu, Game of Thrones).

It isn’t long before Alexa finds herself investigating other murder mysteries in Auckland — in surprising, glamorous worlds filled with intriguing characters who are hiding dangerous and deadly secrets.

The long list of Season 2 guest stars includes Lawless’s former cast mates Anna Hutchison (Underbelly), Graham Vincent (The Shannara Chronicles), Jay Ryan (Beauty and the Beast), and Bruce Hopkins (Lord of the Rings), as well as William Shatner (Star Trek), Martin Henderson (The Gloaming), Michelle Ang (Fear The Walking Dead), Sara Wiseman (A Place to Call Home), Bill Bailey (Black Books), Matt Whelan (The Sounds), and popular drag performers Kita Mean (RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under) and Amanduh La Hor.

A Greenstone TV Production for TVNZ and Acorn TV and DCD Rights Ltd., in association with Network 10, the series is executive produced by Rachel Antony, Claire Tonkin, Tim Pye, Lucy Lawless, Nicky Davies Williams, Pilar Perez, and Don Klees, and produced by Mark Beesley.
