August brings the premiere of two hit shows’ new seasons, the linear debut of an Outback mystery series, and the addition of an award-winning comedy to a streamer.
Ovation TV announced today its “Secrets & Crimes” programming block, which features the first two seasons of The Brokenwood Mysteries and the first season of Mystery Road.
The second season of Aussie detective drama Mystery Road premiered in the US this past Monday, and it’s been worth the two-plus-year wait.
For all intents and purposes, Acorn TV owns Down Under TV premieres and additions in the US in October, which could be called “Mark Mitchinson Month” on the streaming service.
Many of the new Down Under TV series in 2018 were good or great, and some I couldn’t get into no matter how terrific their ratings. Herewith, then, are my favorites.
