NATIONAL PREMIERES

Devotion: Obedience or Betrayal (NZ-US)

This three-part docuseries explores one of the world’s most devoted and controversial religious communities: Gloriavale, a closed Christian community in New Zealand that many call a cult. For more than 50 years, daily life in Gloriavale has been governed by rigid beliefs and hierarchies as men rule over their wives. When shocking allegations of sexual abuse and a cover-up threaten their way of life, former members speak out while others fiercely defend their way of life. Featuring decades of unseen archival footage and exclusive interviews, the program exposes a hidden world with striking similarities to The Handmaid’s Tale and a secret community divided over faith, obedience, and survival.

Devotion: Obedience or Betrayal, a Paramount+ Original, premieres globally on Tuesday, June 2, exclusively on Paramount+ and, where available, its digital channels, including Paramount+ on Prime Channels.

The Kimberley: Australia’s Wild West (AU)

This landmark series captures never-before-seen footage of the Kimberley, Australia’s remote northwest region, from a First Nations perspective, chronicling a year of extreme tropical seasons to reveal the stories hidden within the rugged landscape.

The Kimberley spans over 400,000 square kilometers of tropical wilderness, including turquoise coastlines, towering gorges, sandy deserts, and sprawling savanna. The harsh, inaccessible terrain hides remarkable biodiversity, from the fearsome crocodiles who rule the rivers, to the marsupial gliders who soar over the savanna, to the hundreds of thousands of migratory shorebirds who travel from all over the planet to feed on the rich coastline. This near-pristine corner of the world is vital refuge for countless creatures. It is also the frontline of biodiversity conservation, where Traditional Owners and ecologists are working together to save the species who call the Kimberley home.

From the scorching dry season of Lalin, when desperate wallabies risk “death by ancient reptile” as they brave the last water sources to drink, to the monsoon season of Wilakarra, when the annual pulse of water brings the landscape roaring to life and sparks an inter-species baby boom, each season brings new challenges and new opportunities to Kimberley.

The Kimberley: Australia’s Wild West premieres in the US on Wednesday, June 17, at 10pm ET, on PBS (check your local listings), with streaming available on PBS.org and the PBS app. New episodes will drop on Wednesdays through July 1.

Fell (Australia)

This award-winning drama feature follows Thomas (Matt Nable, Mr Inbetween, Arrow, Riddick) as he becomes obsessed with enacting revenge on the logging truck driver (Daniel Henshall, The Babadook, Mystery Road: Origin) who killed his only daughter in a hit-and-run crime.

Fell has its US streaming premiere on June 18 Viaplay on Prime Channels and other Viaplay partner channels.

NON-PREMIERE PROGRAMS BEING ADDED TO STREAMING SERVICES

The Last Anniversary (US-AU)

Based on the #1 New York Times best-selling novel by Liane Moriarty (Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers), this drama series is set on Scribbly Gum Island, a place of many secrets. The one that made it famous — the disappearance of a young couple decades ago — might have made the island a destination for true-crime tourists, but when it comes to secrets, the three generations of women that call Scribbly Gum home hold far more.

When Sophie Honeywell (Teresa Palmer, A Discovery of Witches) inherits a house on the island, it’s the fresh start she’s been craving, despite the unwelcome reception that she receives on arrival. As she begins to look into the mysteries of the island, she uncovers far more than she ever expected…

The six-episode series costars Miranda Richardson (Fate: The Winx Saga), Danielle Macdonald (The Tourist), Helen Thomson (Colin from Accounts), Susan Prior (Aftertaste), Claude Scott-Mitchell (Hotel Portofino), Charlie Garber (Sisters), Uli Latukefu (The Heart Guy), and Jeremy Lindsay Taylor (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart), amongst others.

The Last Anniversary begins streaming Monday, June 15, on Acorn TV and its digital channels, including Acorn TV on Prime Channels.
