Netflix has set the global premiere date for Territory (formerly known as Desert King), a new Australian western drama series starring Anna Torv amongst the ensemble cast.
Set in the Australian Outback, Territory is about power, family, land, and legacy. When the world’s largest cattle station, one the size of Wales, is left without a clear successor, generational clashes threaten to tear the Lawson family apart. Sensing this once-great dynasty is in decline, the outback’s most powerful factions — rival cattle barons, desert gangsters, Indigenous elders, and billionaire miners — move in for the kill.
Territory, a Netflix series, premieres globally on Thursday, October 24, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
Starring as the Lawsons are Anna Torv (The Newsreader, Mindhunter, Fringe) as Emily Lawson, Michael Dorman (Joe Pickett, For All Mankind) as Graham Lawson, Robert Taylor (The Newsreader, Longmire) as Colin Lawson, Sam Corlett (Vikings: Valhalla, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Marshall Lawson, Philippa Northeast (In Limbo, Home and Away) as Susie Lawson, and Jake Ryan (Home and Away) as Daniel Lawson.
The cast of the six-episode drama also includes Sara Wiseman (A Place to Call Home) as Sandra Kirby, Dan Wyllie (Love My Way) as Hank Hodge, Clarence Ryan (Mystery Road: Origin) as Nolan Brannock, Jay Ryan (Scrublands) as Campbell Miller, Joe Klocek (Nowhere Boys) as Lachie Kirkby, Kylah Day (Itch) as Sharnie Kennedy, Sam Delich (RFDS) as Rich Petrakis, Hamilton Morris (Sweet Country) as Uncle Bryce, Tuuli Narkle (Mystery Road: Origin) as Keeley Redford, and Tyler Spencer as Dezi.
Created and written by Timothy Lee (Bump) and Ben Davies (Bondi Rescue), the series is directed by Greg McLean (Scrublands). Ben Davies and Rob Gibson are the Executive Producers, with Paul Ranford serving as Producer.
