As of today, December 1, you can stream Season 2 of the hilarious hit Aussie comedy Fisk on Netflix. Go get your binge on!
Happy dance! Season 2 of Fisk is streaming on Netflix!
If you’re not familiar with the series, Fisk follows Helen Tudor-Fisk, who had been a high-end contracts lawyer in Sydney until both her personal life and her career imploded. Now she’s working at Gruber & Gruber, a shabby, suburban law firm specializing in wills, estates, and probate in Melbourne. She was hired by Ray Gruber (Marty Sheargold, The Librarians) to replace his sister, Roz Gruber (Julia Zemiro, An Accidental Soldier), who was recently suspended as a solicitor and has appointed herself the firm’s office manager. Helping Helen to navigate the messy world of probate is George (Aaron Chen, Back in Very Small Business), the quirky probate clerk.
But this shift in her career doesn’t mean things get easier or better for Fisk. In her trademark light brown suit, she manages to offend clients and get banned at the local coffee joint.
However, in Season 2, Fisk gets an upgrade at Gruber & Associates! She now has a real office with nice furniture. Fisk is also relatively settled in her job and doing decently in probate law — which is beneficial for everyone at the firm, as Roz takes on a new venture and Ray needs Helen to up her game. But this is Helen Fisk we’re talking about, so it’s almost inevitable that her past comes back to haunt her, forcing the Grubers to make a tough decision.
The comedy series itself and lead actress Kitty Flanagan (Dreamland) have both won awards for Fisk, including Best Narrative Comedy Series (2021 AACTA), Best Series (2021 Series Mania), and Best Comedy or Best Drama Television Program (2022 ATOM Awards) for the series, and Best Comedy Performer (2021 AACTA) and Most Popular Actress (2022 Logie) for Flanagan.
The accolades are well deserved. Go see why.
Both seasons of Fisk are now streaming on Netflix.
And for folks who’d like to gift themselves this hilarious series, Seasons 1 and 2 are currently available for digital purchase through Amazon Video and Apple TV+.
