NATIONAL PREMIERES

The Pacific: In the Wake of Captain Cook with Sam Neill (Australia)

In commemorating the 250th anniversary of the HMS Endeavour’s departure from England, this six-part documentary dives into the debate about Captain James Cook and his legendary and now-controversial voyages of discovery in the 1700s.

Golden Globes and Primetime Emmy® Awards nominee Sam Neill (Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Reilly: Ace of Spies) presents the series — retracing Cook’s route on a personally meaningful voyage. Aboard an ocean tanker and smaller craft, Neill crosses the breadth and length of the Pacific Ocean to journey in Cook’s footsteps and to map his own understanding of Europe’s greatest navigator and of the immense ocean itself.

In visiting the islands and lands where Cook went and meeting the descendants of the people Cook met, Neill hears their stories from oral tradition, delivers new perspectives from the Pacific cultures left in Cook’s wake, and reexamines Cook’s legacy.

The Pacific: In the Wake of Captain Cook with Sam Neill premieres in the US on Thursday, February 14, at 10 PM ET, on Ovation TV. (The series also has a companion book.)

Bondi Harvest: Season 1 (Australia)

Hosted by chef, surfer, free diver, and cookbook author Guy Turland, and filmed on location in Bondi Beach, this cooking show features the high-energy Turland sharing his recipes for healthy food that tastes great and his infectious enthusiasm for making better food choices without sacrificing flavor.

Bondi Harvest: Season 1 premieres in the US on Friday, February 15, on Hulu.

NON-PREMIERE PROGRAMS ADDED TO PROGRAM OFFERINGS
