Paramount+ has announced the premiere date for its Australian true-crime original drama series, Who the Hell is Hamish?, starring Dominic Cooper and Claire van der Boom.
Who The Hell Is Hamish? follows Hamish McLaren (Dominic Cooper, Preacher, Fleming) as he returns to Australia from Canada. Surveying his old domain, he sets his sights on Bec (Claire van der Boom, Rush, Love My Way), a recently-divorced single mum with three sons and access to a significant family trust.
But when Bec begins to notice discrepancies in Hamish’s story and some strange behavior, what starts as personal doubt quickly widens into something far larger: a pattern of deception that spans continents and is suspected of leaving a debt of more than $70 million in his wake.
Inspired by the true story of an industrial fraudster and the victims who banded together to take him down, the series costars Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets), William McKenna (Heartbreak High), Kate Jenkinson (Wentworth), Miah Madden (My Brilliant Career), Fraser Anderson (Audrey), Yasmin Kassim (FING!), Doris Younane (Five Bedrooms), Maria Angelico (Strife), Marta Dusseldorp (Bay of Fires), John Howard (Colin from Accounts), Andrea Moor (Spit), Joel Jackson (Peter Allen), Remy Hii (Spiderman: Far From Home), Damien Garvey (The Survivors), and Jack LaTorre (Kid Snow), and introduces Harvey Bowen.
Who The Hell Is Hamish?, a Paramount+ Australian Original, premieres globally as a six-episode binge on Thursday, December 10, exclusively on Paramount+ and its digital channels, including Paramount+ on Prime Video.
A production of Hoodlum Entertainment and CBS Studios Production for Paramount+, the series is written and created by Adam Zwar (Austin, Mr Black), and directed by Jeffrey Walker (The Artful Dodger, Apple Cider Vinegar).
