Netflix has announced the start of production on the third and final season of Heartbreak High, one of the streamer’s most popular teen dramas globally.
Production has begun for the third and final season of Heartbreak High in Sydney, Australia (Gadigal, Dharug, Dharawal and Ku-ring-gai lands), a fan-favorite series that has won multiple awards, including the 2023 International Emmy Award for Best Kids: Live-Action.
A reimagining of the iconic Australian TV series of the same name (also streaming on Netflix), Netflix’s Heartbreak High follows the students and staff at Hartley High as they navigate all manner of teen and teacher angst — from romance and betrayal, to racial tension and abuse.
In Season 3, it’s time for Hartley High’s graduating class to say goodbye to school and hello to adulthood! But when a revenge prank goes horribly wrong, Amerie (Ayesha Madon, Love Me) and her friends must cover up their secret or risk losing everything.
A production of Fremantle Australia and NewBe, Heartbreak High is created by Hannah Carroll Chapman, produced by Sarah Freeman, and executive produced by Carly Heaton, with Megan Palinkas serving as co-executive producer and writer, and Anna Curtis serving as co-producer.
Stay tuned for updates.
