NATIONAL PREMIERES
The Survivors (AU)
Based on The Survivors, Jane Harper’s New York Times best-selling novel, this new mystery-crime drama series follows Kieran Elliott (Charlie Vickers, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart), whose life changed forever fifteen years ago. It was then that two people drowned and a young girl went missing in his hometown of Evelyn Bay. Now back after all those years with his wife, Mia (Yerin Ha, Dune: Prophecy, Halo), and their infant child, Kieran experiences anew the guilt that has haunted him since then.
When the body of a young woman is found on the beach, the town is once again rocked by tragedy and the investigation of her death threatens to reveal long-held secrets, the truth about the missing girl, and a killer amongst them.
The cast of the six-episode series includes Shannon Berry (Offspring), Jessica De Gouw (The Secrets She Keeps), Thom Green (Apple Cider Vinegar), George Mason (Black Snow), Miriama Smith (Harrow), Julian Weeks (Apple Cider Vinegar), Johnny Carr (Five Bedrooms), Damien Garvey (Rake), Don Hany (East West 101), Martin Sacks (Wentworth), Robyn Malcolm (Far North), and Catherine McClements (Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries).
The Survivors, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Friday, June 6, exclusively on Netflix.
(You can set a reminder for it now.)

Riptide (AU-UK)
This mystery thriller miniseries stars Jo Joyner (Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators, Ackley Bridge, Stay Close, EastEnders) as Briton Alison Weston, who’s recently married her new husband, Aussie Sean Weston (Peter O’Brien, Neighbours, Tidelands, Underbelly). While her daughter, Hannah (Asher Yasbincek, Heartbreak High), and his son, Ethan (Ben Turland, Neighbours), don’t exactly get on, the couple are trying to combine two families into one happy one under the same roof. Meanwhile, Alison’s ex-husband, Michael (Ciarán Griffiths, Coronation Street), is still on the scene…
One day, Sean goes out for a morning surf, but doesn’t return. What could have happened? Did he get caught in a riptide (or rip current)? Without his body, the police conclude that Sean died from an accidental drowning. Alison isn’t so sure, though, and sets out to investigate her husband’s disappearance. The more Alison learns, the more she suspects something sinister happened to him.

Also featuring in the series are David Berry (A Place to Call Home), Alexandra Fowler (Wentworth), Yazeed Daher (Safe Harbour), Sonya Suares (Five Bedrooms), Pia Miranda (Darby and Joan), and Benjamin Samaddar, amongst others.
Riptide premieres in the US and Canada on Tuesday, June 17, exclusively on MHz Choice and its digital channels, including MHz Choice on Prime Channels.
