Netflix has announced the new Aussie comedy series Son of a Donkey, which will feature the characters from the series Superwog (aka Superbro).
With the success of their YouTube channel, which spawned the Superwog TV series (aka Superbro outside of Australia, currently streaming on Netflix), brothers and creators Theo and Nathan Saidden will be back with Son of a Donkey, a brand-new standalone comedy series that returns their Superbro characters, Theo and Johnny, to our screens.
In Son of a Donkey, we meet Theo (Theo Saidden) just as he moves out of his home to claim his independence — until he’s faced with the harsh realities of adulthood. From driving fines and daddy issues, to internet scams and a lot of therapy, Theo and his best friend, Johnny (Nathan Saidden), get up to their usual antics as they come to terms with what’s most important: family.

Produced by Princess Pictures for Netflix, the six-episode series will be written, directed, produced by, and star the Saiddens. Production has started and filming will take place on location in Melbourne. The series is supported by VicScreen through the Victorian Screen Incentive (VSI).
